What to watch for

Very thin pen strokes or light pencil signatures may be partially removed along with the background — use a medium-to-thick nib and dark ink for the most reliable result.

Anti-aliased edge pixels retain a blend of the original white paper and the ink colour. Ensure the signature photo is sharply in focus and well lit. In a PDF editor or design tool, look for a "Remove white matting" or "Decontaminate colours" option to clean up the edge halo.

Can I insert the transparent PNG signature into a PDF?
