How to split a PDF page into two (scanned double pages)
Scanned a book or magazine two facing pages at a time? Cut every scan down the middle so each page of the book becomes its own PDF page.

Pick "Left | Right" for side-by-side spreads or "Top / Bottom" for stacked ones. For right-to-left books, tick "Right half first".

Click Split and download one PDF with twice as many pages, in reading order. The halves are cropped, not re-scanned, so nothing loses sharpness.
After splitting
Put extracted pieces back together in a new order with Merge PDF, shrink a part that is still too large to email with Compress PDF, or rotate and delete pages in Organize PDF. Need the page as a picture instead? Convert PDF pages to JPG.

No. The PDF is read and split inside your browser tab with pdf-lib. Nothing is sent over the network — you can check in your browser’s Network tab while the tool runs.
Will splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are — fonts, images, vector graphics, and selectable text are preserved exactly. Fillable form fields on extracted pages keep working.
Can I reorder or delete pages while splitting?
Extract always keeps the original page order. To reorder, rotate, or delete pages, use Organize PDF; to put pieces back together in a new order, use Merge PDF.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not directly — a PDF that needs a password to open has to be unlocked first with Unlock PDF (you need the password), then it can be split here.
