Split PDF
Extract pages or split into individual PDFs — your files never leave your device.
Need just the financial summary from a 200-page report, or want to archive each page of a scanned document separately? This tool gives you two extraction modes: pull out any combination of pages as a single new PDF, or split the whole document so every page becomes its own file. Everything runs locally via pdf-lib — no uploading, no waiting for a server to process your document, and no risk of sensitive content passing through a third party.
How to Use
- 1
Drop your PDF onto the upload area, or click to browse.
- 2
Choose a mode: "Extract" to pull out specific pages, or "Split All" to create one file per page.
- 3
In Extract mode, type your page range (e.g. "1-3, 5, 7-9") and click Extract.
- 4
Download the resulting PDF, or the ZIP archive when using Split All.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Extract and Split All?
Extract creates a single PDF containing only the pages you specify. Split All creates one separate PDF per page and packages them as a downloadable ZIP.
What range format should I use?
Comma-separated numbers and ranges — for example "1-3, 5, 8-10" selects pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 in that order.
Can I reorder pages while I split?
This tool extracts pages but doesn't reorder them. If you need a custom page order, split out the pieces you want and then reassemble them using the Merge PDF tool.
Will splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied verbatim — fonts, images, and vector content are preserved exactly as in the original PDF.
