A lot of "free" QR code generators quietly create a dynamic code — one that redirects through their own server so they can track every scan, and that can stop working the moment you stop paying or their service shuts down. This tool doesn't do that. It encodes your URL, text, Wi-Fi credentials, email, or phone number directly into the QR code itself, live as you type, entirely on an HTML Canvas in your browser. Customize the size, foreground and background color, and error-correction level, optionally drop a logo in the center — error correction is bumped up automatically so it keeps scanning reliably — and export as a PNG at any resolution or a clean SVG for print. Because nothing is generated or stored on a server, the code you create today will still scan exactly the same way in ten years.

Does this QR code expire or get tracked?

What data types can I encode besides a URL?
Plain URLs and plain text are the core options, plus ready-made formats for Wi-Fi credentials (scan to join a network), email (opens a pre-filled compose window), and phone numbers (dial or pre-filled text message).
Can I add a logo to the center of the QR code?
Yes. Upload a logo image (a transparent PNG works best) and it's centered on the code with a small background pad behind it for contrast. Error correction is automatically raised to Q or H when a logo is added, since a center overlay covers part of the code and needs the extra redundancy to stay scannable.
What does the error-correction level (L/M/Q/H) do?
It controls how much of the code can be damaged, dirty, or covered (like by a logo) and still scan correctly — roughly 7% for L, 15% for M, 25% for Q, and 30% for H. Higher levels make the code visually denser since more redundant data is packed in, so use L or M for a clean plain code and Q or H if you plan to add a logo or print it somewhere it might get scuffed.
PNG or SVG — which should I use?
PNG is a fixed-resolution raster image, good for screens and quick sharing — pick a size in pixels before exporting. SVG is a vector file that scales to any size with no loss of quality, which is the better choice for print (posters, packaging, business cards).
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. The QR code is generated and rendered directly in your browser, and the logo overlay (if you add one) never leaves your device either. Nothing is sent anywhere — open your browser's Network tab while using the tool to confirm.
